Transportation:
The nearest major international airport is the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The John Wayne Orange County Airport is also a major airport served by a number of major airlines and with some international connections.
Nearby regional airports with more limited service include the Long Beach airport, the Ontario, California airport, and the Burbank, California airport.
Each airport has its own offerings for ground transportation including taxis and shared ride services. Check each airport's website for information on the ground transportation options from that airport to the Long Beach Convention Center.
Parking:
The Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center has more than 4,000 parking spaces around the Center in three parking garages and one ground level parking lot. Rates may vary by event and are in effect seven days a week.

Hotel Parking Information:
- Westin Long Beach: Daily self-parking ($38) and valet parking ($42) is available.
- Hotel Maya: Daily self-parking ($35) and valet parking ($35) is available.
- Renaissance Long Beach Hotel: Daily self-parking is available for a daily rate of $38.
- Hilton Long Beach: Daily self-parking ($27) and valet parking ($32) is available.
- Hyatt Regency Long Beach: Daily self-parking ($38) and valet parking ($42) is available.
Accommodations
Discounted hotel rooms for the Applied Power and Electronics Conference are selling out for most room nights at all contracted hotels.
Contracted Hotels
There are limited rooms available at APEC's contracted hotels. It is possible that more discounted rooms will become available due to cancellations or other changes. However, availability changes dynamically and APEC cannot offer a reservation waiting list.
In addition, we suggest checking availability of the contracted hotels over multiple dates as they may have discounted rates available on some nights.

Hotel Scam Alert!
The locations listed above are the only authorized hotels providing official guest accommodations for APEC 2024. If you receive solicitations from any other vendors identifying themselves as an official APEC housing representative, they are NOT authorized to sell guest rooms for the event.
Hotel poachers will claim to be an APEC or IEEE “partner” or the “official housing company” and will sometimes ask that your room be paid in full, in advance. Room poachers often do not deliver on promises to attendees. When guests arrive, the reservations are often unavailable, or the hotels are far from the event location. Sometimes, hefty cancellation charges are billed to your credit card. Poachers often represent themselves as being affiliated with the conference by illegally using trademarked logos.
How to Avoid Hotel Poachers
- APEC is the only authorized resource that provides attendees hotel reservation information for conference hotels.
- Trust your instincts: If the room rate sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.
- If you receive an unsolicited call or email from any company that is not APEC, please obtain the name of the company and contact us immediately at apec@apec-conf.org.
