Dear APEC Community,
On behalf of the APEC 2027 Organizing Committee, it is my distinct honor and pleasure to welcome you to the 42nd annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC) in the vibrant and historic city of New Orleans, Louisiana. Returning to the city where APEC first began back in 1986 feels like coming home—only now, we return as a thriving, global force in the technology ecosystem.
New Orleans is world-renowned as a city that celebrates music, rhythm, and harmony. It is a fitting backdrop for APEC 2027, because at its core, APEC is all about resonances. It is where the distinct frequencies of our field align to create something powerful and harmonious:

- Between Presenters and Attendees: Where ideas are shared, questioned, and refined giving birth to many more new ideas.

Throughout the week, you will have the opportunity to engage with an extraordinary lineup of Plenary Session, Professional Education Seminars, Technical and Industry Sessions, Debate Sessions and our bustling Exposition (featuring more than 300 exhibitors). APEC 2027 will deliver nearly 1,000 presentations spanning a rich variety of sessions and formats—each bringing its own unique rhythm and insight to our educational program. Beyond the formal sessions, APEC provides an unrivaled space to reconnect with old friends, forge new collaborations, and shape the future of power electronics and energy conversion.
An event of this scale (and its continued evolution) is only possible through the dedication, passion, and generosity of our community. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to our three sponsoring organizations—the Power Sources Manufacturers Association (PSMA), the IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS), and the IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS). My sincere thanks also go out to more than 1000 volunteers, including our Steering Committee, Organizing Committee, Track and Session Chairs, Student Leaders, Mentors, and nearly 900 Reviewers who helped build this world-class technical program.
