Time: Bus Pickup at 12:45pm at the main entrance of the Henry B. González Convention Center.
Bus leaves for facility at 1:00 PM; Bus returns to Convention Center at 4:45 PM.
Cost: Event is free but limited to the first 50 registrants.

Transportation: Transportation will be provided from the Henry B. González Convention Center. The bus will start loading at 12:45 PM and will depart by 1:00 PM from the main entrance of the Convention Center at 900 E Market St, San Antonio, TX 78205. Transportation will also be provided back to the Henry B. González Convention Center at the conclusion of the tour.
About the Tour: Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) is a premier independent, nonprofit applied research and development organization headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. Established in 1947, SwRI operates on a more than 1,500-acre campus with over 2.5 million square feet of advanced laboratories and test facilities. SwRI’s expertise spans “from deep see to deep space” organized into multiple technical divisions, including Space Science & Engineering, Automotive & Transportation, Energy & Environment, Biomedical & Health, and Defense & Intelligent Systems.
During the SwRI Tour, attendees will have a brief introduction to the Institute and its development and testing capabilities in many areas of science. The facilities tour includes laboratories where space instruments are built, integrated, and tested. Visitors will tour laboratories where payloads are integrated, as well as the Energy Center, where advanced battery technologies are evaluated.
